Silica is the 4th Original Black Ink painting in my Desert Series.

This abstraction of silica represents my imagining of the unique crystalline shapes of  sand particles that make up the dunes of the desert. Take a microscope to a piece of sand and see the intricate life and detail that is hidden within.
